Music Review | Teraa Surroor | Himesh Reshammiya

Until 2013, Himesh had been singing all the songs in the films where he played the lead role. Which by the number of albums is very few, but the number of songs that he would accommodate in these albums was huge (Yes, pointing towards Aap Kaa Surroor, Karzzzz and Radio with 9 songs each). With Xpose, he let go off a few songs to Mohammad Irfan Ali and Ankit Tiwari but maintained his trademark with number of songs in that album (18 to be precise including a Mashup). Fast forward to 2016, Himesh Reshammiya is back with what sounds like a sequel to Aap Ka Surroor but doesn't look so. In fact, if you take it in literal sense Himesh refused to give any respect to her surroor this time - from Aap Ka to Teraa . The number of songs too have surprisingly reduced to 7. Music Review | Fukrey Returns | Jasleen Royal, Sharib-Toshi and others

[1] Fukrey was a sleeper hit that was a treasure chest of music. I still listen to the title track, Ambarsariya and Jugaad from the prequel. Does that raise the expectation for the sequel album? Not really, because I usually do not have very high expectations from comedy movies. Also, Fukrey was composed by a single music composer (Ram Sampath) unlike its sequel which has a different composer for each song. So let us get started! Music Review | Wajah Tum Ho | Mithoon, Abhijit Vaghani, Meet Bros, Gourov-Roshin

When few of my readers requested me to review this album, I had no idea about the movie, music or the cast. A quick look at the trailer and the picture got clear as to why this album is popular among some folks. With a shoestring budget, I am willing to take the risk of assuming that there will be nothing spectacular in this album. However, I will get into this album with an unbiased mind as always. The hype is real for this movie. Does it matter to me? No. What matters to me is whether Ram Sampath and JAM8 managed to overpower that hype with their music. We'll find that out at the end of this post. This song brings together both of these - king of romance and (ex)-queen of porn (no disrespect but it seems that was the intention here). Does the song fail to impress in terms of music (obviously it has already impressed in other terms)? The catchphrase tune and the choir parts are really addictive. This song doesn't give Pawni Pandey (Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs finalist) a chance to showcase her singing prowess with overpowering music but it does open up a lot of opportunities for her.
