Music Review | Munna Michael | Tanishk Bagchi, Gourov-Roshin, Meet Bros and others

Tiger Shroff returns to show off his dancing skills, yet again. So that is the only expectation from this album - good catchy dance numbers. Without wasting much time, let us get started!

Album Release Date: 21st June 2017

Main Hoon
Music Composer: Tanishk Bagchi
Singers: Siddharth Mahadevan
Lyrics: Kumaar
This is such a narcissistic song. This song has an electronic music. I was listening to this song passively and all I can remember is the self-appreciating chorus. These two pointers made me go and watch the video and thus I can safely infer that this is a dance number and not a listen-to song.

Ding Dang
Music Composer: Javed - Mohsin
Singers: Amit Mishra, Antara Mitra
Lyrics: Danish Sabri, Sabbir Khan
Hahahahaha. I am laughing so hard at the chorus right now. This is one of those songs with weird lyrics. If you enjoyed the lyrics of Breakup Song (Ae Dil Hai Mushkil) then you will enjoy this one too. The intro music made my shoulders bouncing with the beat.

Pyar Ho
Music Composer: Vishal Mishra
Singers: Vishal Mishra, Sunidhi Chauhan
Lyrics: Kumaar
This song is all over the place without a specific flow. Maybe skip it.

Swag
Music Composer: Pranaay
Singers: Pranaay ft. Brijesh Shandaliya
Lyrics: Kumaar
Mika? Is that you? Nope. False alarm. The song talks about showing your swag through your dance. "I’m feelin’ oh oh oh, Na rok tu ab khudko, I’m feelin’ oh oh oh, C’mon baby let’s do it" is an innuendo for dance (if you could not figure it out). This song also has the catchphrase bada bing, bada boom.
Beparwah
Music Composer: Gourov- Roshin
Singers: Siddharth Basrur, Nandini Deb
Lyrics: Kumaar
The last time we heard Siddharth Basrur was in Parwah Nahi. And this song is called? While that song was an amazing rock song, this one is meh!

Shake Karaan
Music Composer: Meet Bros
Singers: Meet Bros Ft. Kanika Kapoor
Lyrics: Kumaar
After giving chartbusters like Baby Doll and Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan, Meet Bros and Kanika Kapoor are back again with another replica. Listen closely to the background beats. It same as the previous songs. But it's catchy and I enjoy Kanika's unique voice so I am going to listen this on loop.

Feel The Rhythm
Music Composer: Pranaay
Singers: Pranaay ft. Rahul Pandey
Lyrics: Pranaay, Sabbir Khan
This song is Thriller meets Bang Bang but has diminishing returns in the end. This song is a hindi tribute to all the keywords associated with the legendary Michael Jackson.

Beat It Bijuriya
Music Composer: Tanishk – Vayu
Singers: Asses Kaur, Renesa Baadchi
Lyrics: Tanishk – Vayu
The song title is Beat It meets Beat Pe Booty. I really like the Hinglish lyrics. Not that they have some deep meaning, but they are funky. It almost reminded me of GoW music.

Pyar Ho (Redux)
Music Composer: Vishal Mishra
Singers: Sunidhi Chauhan
Lyrics: Kumaar
This version is just a tad bit better than the original. Otherwise it is similar to such template songs.

Swag Rebirth
Music Composer: Pranaay
Singers: Pranaay
Lyrics: Kumaar, Sabbir Khan
This version is the first verse of the original song minus the rap. This song will probably be used as a character music for Nawazuddin.

Lyrics are weak point of this album. Not that I was expecting earth shattering metaphors. This is a classic example of one of my posts Do too many cooks actually spoil the broth OR the more the merrier? especially for what Tiger Shroff is known for. There are only a few shiners in the album. So here are my favourites:
Ding Dang
Shake Karaan
Beat It Bijuriya

That is all I have for this album now. I hope you found this review useful. If you did then feel free to share it. Let me know you favourite song of the album in the comments below. Until then, Ciao...!!
