Music Review Catch Up | June-December 2016 | Te3n, Madaari, Fever, Pink, Parched, Force 2, Kahaani 2

It is year end and I was rounding up the music for this year and realized that I've missed a few of the music albums of popular movies. Some of these were already requested by readers as standalone reviews but due to time crunch I was not able to. I take full responsibility for that and apologize. This will be my music review catch up of all the music albums (well, not all. Few handpicked) released since June until now. So without further ado, let's get started! Pick of the individual albums are highlighted in  RED (Click on the movie title to play it on Saavn) Te3n Music Director: Clinton Cerejo Lyrics: Amitabh Bhattacharya Listen on YouTube Haq Hai is a soulful song with beautiful lyrics. I wish the chorus didn't have choir recitation instead only Clinton had sung it. Rootha got me grooving as the song progressed. 'The world is against me' has been conveyed in a very peppy way. Kyun Re This made my wandering my mind sit down take notice of the su

Music Review | Dangal | Pritam

It's Christmas time with an Aamir Khan movie this year. It does make Christmas for lot of us special. Even though we know the movie is going to be really good, this post is not about that. This is about how good (or not) the music of this movie is. So without further ado, let's get this dangal to find good music   started. Album Release Date: 14th December 2016 (Click on the song title to play it on Saavn) Haanikaarak Bapu Singer: Sarwar Khan, Sartaz Khan Barna Lyrics: Amitabh Bhattacharya I just love it when there is a song from kids' perspective. This song brings back the memories of our childhood when our dads (or moms for some) were strict as Hitler - be it for completing the homework or eating healthy food. No matter how much we whined about it as a kid, now we know that they were doing the right thing for us. Not much information is available about the two child singers in the song and that is the reason the song feels raw and authentic. Amitabh Bhatt

Music Review | Befikre | Vishal-Shekhar

I feel like an idiot every time ranting about how a lot a movies these days are releasing their music album just few days prior to it's release. Nonetheless, just as other such music albums I am expecting it to have a few chartbusters and a soulful number. But that doesn't mean I shouldn't be reviewing it. So, without further ado, let's get into it. (Click on the song title to play it on Saavn) Nashe Si Chadh Gayi Singer: Arijit Singh Lyrics: Jaideep Sahni This song is as trippy as the name suggests. The lyrics are free spirited as a kite like mentioned in the song. In some portions of the song, Arijit's voice sounds like Adnan Sami. The fast paced lyrics before the chorus doesn't make any sense (as if the entire movie is going to make any). Despite the flaws, the song did not burn my ears and is a nice groove to dance on.
