Music Review | Golmaal Again !!! | Amaal Mallik and others

So today we are going to review the music album of Golmaal.. Again? 😕
This is the fourth iteration in the mindless comedy franchisee by Rohit Shetty. The only song I recall from the previous movies is the tune for the title track (not even the song). With that kind of impact, I have very less expectations from this album. So let's get right into it!

Movie Release Date: 6th October 2017

Golmaal Title Track
Music Composer: Thaman. S
Singers: Amaal Mallik, Aditi Singh Sharma
Lyrics: Kumaar
I am surprised Thaman S., who mainly composes music in Telugu and Tamil, is the composer for this song. The one opportunity he gets is to composed a recycled tune. The entire song has dhol and tasha beats. The lyrics are mindless like the title tracks from the prequels. The song is much more bearable if you watch the video with all the vibrant colors and car stunts.

Maine Tujhko Dekha
Music Composer: Amaal Mallik
Singers: Neeraj Shridhar, Sukriti Kakar
Lyrics: Kumaar
From the second this song starts, you know you have heard this tune for sure. You are not wrong, this song is a remake of Neend Churayi Maine (Ishq). The only difference is the chorus is sung by the female i.e. "Neend Churayi Teri Kisne O Sanam" and all the male leads sing along "Tune!!". Not surprisingly the chorus is the only catchy part of the song.

Itna Sannata Kyun Hai
Music Composer: Lijo George-Dj Chetas
Singers: Amit Mishra, Aditi Singh Sharma
Lyrics: Kumaar
What an irony! The entire song is mellow until the chorus. The chorus - "Itna sannata kyun hai" is high scale and full of electronic dance beats. I was disappointed this song did not have the namesake cult dialogue from Sholay. If you want to save the disappointment yourself, skip it!

Hum Nahi Sudhrenge
Music Composer: Amaal Mallik
Singers: Amaal Mallik
Lyrics: Kumaar
The only song that deserve my attention and your time. Though the music and lyrics of the song talk different languages but Amaal Mallik's singing makes it click. Repetitive listening to this song gives you the essence of  Suraj Dooba Hain (Roy). After every verse of this song, I was expecting Aditi Singh Sharma to sing "Ataa pataa rahe na kisi ka humein, Yehi kahe ye pal zindagi ka humein" from Suraj Dooba Hain.

I like it when ordinary albums have less songs. It makes my job easier. A lot of you will watch the movie for sure, but in case you wanna explore album, then Hum Nahi Sudhrenge is the one to go for.

That is all I have for this album now. I hope you found this review useful. If you did then feel free to share it. Let me know you favourite song of the album in the comments below. Until then, Ciao...!!
