Swagpur Ka Chaudhary

Lyricist: Akshay Verma
With electronic beats on Haryanvi lyrics, this song is a perfect representation of gaanv ka gawar trying to be sophisticated. This is one of those promotional songs that ride on the Hinglish chorus. Some of them click well, some don't. This one definitely doesn't click it right. To add to that, the looping beat is picked up from A Little Less Conversation by Elvis Presley and Junkie XL

Kaala Doreya
Singers: Neha Bhasin, Raxstar
Lyricist: Folk
This Punjabi folk song is about the fight between bhabhi-devar. Obviously, using this song as is wouldn't be a good decision considering the theme of the movie. So they repackaged it with Neha Bhasin's powerful voice, electronic beats and Hinglish rap. This is a danceable song, not listenable.

Jive With Me
Singers: Abhishek Nailwal
Lyricist: Anvita Dutt
The title says Jive With Me but the chorus says Jive All Night With You. The jive music is on point. The jugalbandi between Abhishek Nailwal and saxophone is all the energy you wanted for the day.

I laughed heartily listening to this song. This song adds to the ever increasing list of #NoFilter songs which has chartbusters like Bhaag DK Bose (Delhi Belly), Khoon Choos Le (Go Goa Gone) and G Phaad Ke (Happy Ending). I would definitely listen to this song on repeat for a while. (read: until the release of the movie. If the movie flops, this songs dies with it)

Aa Bhi Jaa
Singers: Vishal Dadlani, Abhishek Nailwal
Lyricist: Anvita Dutt
Take a trippy trip without tripping over any drugs. The music made me imagine hallucinogenic visuals and Vishal Dadlani's voice was the narration to it. Listen to this song with your headphones at your risk.

This album was random and I don't mean my decision to review it. The choice of compositions in this album was random and it still managed to stay within the limits of the movie. I don't see the songs in this album getting hugely popular among masses. But for those who watch the movie and like it, it will stay with them forever. So here are my favourites from the album:

Music Review | M. S. Dhoni - The Untold Story | Amaal Mallik

Cricket is religion in India, so is Bollywood. The two have come together in the past. They come together again with a movie based on India's most loved and successful cricket captain - Mahendra Singh Dhoni. So, without further ado, let's get into it and see if this album is able to build the same love among masses. One needs enough motivation from inside to do that and Manoj Muntashir nails it with lyrics in bringing out this motivation. Armaan Malik showcases his singing versatility yet. Amaal Mallik has kept the most important song of the movie surprisingly underwhelming. The song peaks on high notes just before the chorus and the chorus itself is soft spoken. Music Review | Dhanak | Tapas Relia

I understand this is a late review from my side. In my defence, I heard one of the songs two days back and it compelled me to write this review. From what I saw in the trailers I am guessing there'll be a lot of folk music and lot of innocent lyrics since the movie is about two kids. Music Review | TVF Humorously Yours (Web Series) | Vaibhav Bundhoo

Last one and half years has seen a surge in web mini series. All of them targeting the ' t raditionally a verse t o t elevision' y outh ( t.a.t.t.y. ). So much has been the impact of these web series that even the mainstream players like YRF and MTV are creating content on YouTube. However, the most ingenious and the pioneer of web series have been The Viral Fever (TVF). They have really managed to match the wavelength of t.a.t.t.y. with all their web series. Music Review | A Flying Jatt | Sachin-Jigar

I am not so much interested in the movie. The only reason I chose to listen to this album was Sachin-Jigar. I've been a big fan of their music. Do I have high expectations from this album?
