Music Review | Great Grand Masti | Sanjeev-Darshan, Sharib-Toshi, Superbia

The movie is releasing this Friday. Pirated copy is already available online. The entire music album was released just last week. With how many songs? FOUR. Mehh!!

Alright, without further ado, let's get into it and see if there's any masti available in its songs.

Listen on Saavn:

(Click on the song title to play it in YouTube)

Music Director: Sanjeev-Darshan
Lyrics: Kumaar
Singers: Sanjeev Rathod, Darshan Rathod, Kanika Kapoor
The focus of this song is the vocals and hence most of the beats are suppressed. The chorus loop is quite catchy but is a tongue twister and difficult to memorize :P
That's the only good part about the song. I wish female portions were equally naughty and catchy too and not as dumb as "Darling pehle gaadi mein ghuma, Darling ik diamond dila, Darling mummy-daddy se mila, Phir jo bhi chahe kar le"

Music Director: Sharib-Toshi
Lyrics: Manoj Yadav
Singers: Toshi Sabri, Soniya Sharma
So let's talk about all the things that are good about this song. NOTHING
So many things mixed up in one song. There's rap, autotune, dubstep, Haryanvi accent, senseless lyrics. Basically all the cringeworthy things stuffed into a single song. *let's just skip it*

Music Director: Sanjeev-Darshan
Lyrics: Kumaar
Singers: Shivranjani Singh, Shivangi Bhayana
Another cringe worthy song but better than the previous one. At least this one is catchy. If you relate this to the actual movie, it is actually funny because the ghost is trying to seduce the three guys. But the seductive tone is so fake.

Music Director: Superbia
Lyrics: Sameer Anjan
Singers: Shaan, Payal Dev
So I understand Shaan is a part of this Superbia band but why sing a song that doesn't not in anyway bring his Shaan-side out. The rap portions have a raunchy lyrics as you'd expect from movie like this. This actually sounds decent when compared to previous two songs.

I had very low expectations from this album and that is what I got. Such movies do not make money for their music. With just four songs, don't even bother listening to the entire album. Just skip the second and third song and listen to others in your leisure time while pooping.

That is all I have for this album. I hope you liked this review. If you do then feel free to share it. Let me know you favourite song of the album or if you have any suggestions/feedback - in the comments below. Until then, Ciao...!
