Music Review | Wajah Tum Ho | Mithoon, Abhijit Vaghani, Meet Bros, Gourov-Roshin

When few of my readers requested me to review this album, I had no idea about the movie, music or the cast. A quick look at the trailer and the picture got clear as to why this album is popular among some folks. With a shoestring budget, I am willing to take the risk of assuming that there will be nothing spectacular in this album. However, I will get into this album with an unbiased mind as always. So without further ado, let's get into it!

Wajah Tum Ho
Music Composer: Mithoon
Singer: Mithoon Featuring Altamash Faridi & Tulsi Kumar
Lyrics: Manoj Muntashir
The song starts off with really soft singing by Altamash and Tulsi with piano chords in the background. However, I felt that with such a slow and soothing song, male voice requires to be deep and forthcoming. Altamash Faridi's voice didn't manage to carry that weight. The lyrics are stereotypically romantic.

Music Composer: Abhijit Vaghani
Singer: Arijit Singh, Tulsi Kumar, Neuman Pinto
Lyrics: Rajendra Krishna
This song caught me off guard. I was simply not expecting a Kishore Kumar song gift wrapped in Arijit Singh's voice. This is more of a lounge version of the original song than a remix. I really started to like this song. But just when I thought everything was going smooth, they added English rap (like, seriously?😒). Can we please have awesome songs without crappy rap?

Music Composer: Meet Bros
Singer: Meet Bros Featuring Armaan Malik & Tulsi Kumar
Lyrics: Kumaar
Well, we have another twist. Armaan Malik trying his hand (or should I say voice) at another Kishore Kumar song. This is not exactly the same song but just the chorus is picked up from the original song and it really fits in well with rest of the song. Good job on the mixing!

Music Composer: Gourov Roshin
Singer: Neha Kakkar
Lyrics: Kumaar
Okay. How difficult is it to compose an original song? Similar to previous song, this song has chorus from Maahi Ve (Kaante). Totally skippable song!

Music Composer: Mithoon
Singer: Mithoon Featuring Altamash Faridi
Lyrics: Manoj Muntashir
This song is same as the first one minus the female portion.

Music Composer: Abhijit Vaghani
Singer: Armaan Malik & Tulsi Kumar
Lyrics: Rajendra Krishna
I am not sure what the producers are trying to achieve here by making two of the most popular singers right now, the same Kishore Kumar song. Although the unplugged version sounds really nice in terms of music, but Armaan Malik doesn't match up to Arijit Singh's maturity and gravity in vocals.

Music Composer: Mithoon
Singer: Mithoon Featuring Altamash Faridi
Lyrics: Manoj Muntashir
This song officially got repetitive and irritating song of the album. Total abuse of the original title song as well as the title of the movie.

With no expectations from this album, it didn;t gave me much to tingle my musical ears. Nonetheless, here are my two Kishore Kumar favourite songs of the album:
Dil Ke Paas
Dil Mein Chhupa Loonga
Title track does not make it to the list simply because of overusing it in the album

That is all I have for this album. I hope you found this review useful. If you did then feel free to share it. Let me know you favourite song of the album or if you have any suggestions/feedback - in the comments below. Until then, Ciao...!
