Music Review | Junooniyat | Meet Bros Anjjan, Jeet Gannguli, Ankit Tiwari

Do you remember Sanam Re? Probably because of the title track. Expecting the same with this one too.

I don't have very high expectations from this one but I am hoping at least one track shines out (Jeet Gannguli, pointing towards you).

Alright, without further ado, let's see if this album brings out the "Junooniyat (Passion)" in its songs and make me listen in loop.

Listen on YouTube
*upload pending by T-Series as of writing*

Nachange Saari Raat
Music: Meet Bros
Lyrics: Kumaar
Singers: Neeraj Shridhar, Tulsi Kumar, Meet Bros
The moment this song started it screamed 'chartbuster'. No matter what the lyrics is, the beats are going to rock the dance floors for a few months at least.  The only thing I did not like about the song is the rap by Meet Bros. And then coming to the chorus - definitely seemed to have heard it somewhere. *search mode on* No credits in the video description on YouTube. Looked up the same name on YouTube and this popped up - Stereo Nation - Nachange Sari Raat. The original is so much better than this one.*sigh* Why Bollywood, why? Apparently, T-Series has the rights to the original version and hence...

Mujhko Barsaat Bana Lo
Music: Jeet Gannguli
Lyrics: Rashmi Virag
Singers: Armaan Malik
Armaan Malik is really good and provides the depth this song required. In terms of music, this is Jeet Gannguli staple melody track and is bound to be played on loop until next one comes out.

Ishqe Di Lat
Music: Ankit Tiwari
Lyrics: Manoj Muntashir
Singers: Ankit Tiwari, Tulsi Kumar
This is one of the few unorthodox songs by Ankit Tiwari I've heard in recent times. Is it good? Yes, definitely. What is good you ask? The foot-tapping chorus. However, if you try to draw parallels, the tone of this song is similar to Sun Raha Hai Na Tu (Aashiqui 2) - a sad song with a jovial music.

Junooniyat
Music: Meet Bros Anjjan
Lyrics: Kumaar
Singers: Meet Bros Anjjan, Falak Shabir
How I wish this was an unplugged version. Too much music to commercialize it might just have ruined the song by a couple of notches. With the powerful voice of Falak, he still manages to bring out the emotions in the loud music.

Pagalon Sa Naach
Music: Meet Bros Anjjan
Lyrics: Kumaar
Singers: Khushboo Grewal, Meet Bros
Mood of Balam Pichkari (Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani) and lyrics of Dhating Naach (Phata Poster Nikla Hero). I am guessing this song will be remembered only until the release of the movie. Nothing special.

Tu Junooniyat (Climax Song)
Music: Jeet Gannguli
Lyrics: Manoj Muntashir
Singers: Shrey Singhal, Akriti Kakar
I like this singer - Shrey Singhal (pardon if I was unaware of him earlier). His voice is crisp. It's a powerful song with hard hitting beats until you reach the chorus. It's soft and mellow for two lines. *thumbs up* However, those are the only two lines I have a problem in terms of lyrics "Tera ishq hai, meri saltanat, Tu hai zid meri, tu junooniyat".

A fractured album overall. Patched from various songs to come up with chartbusters that'll provide mileage to the movie until its release. Anyways, here are my picks.

TOP 3 PICKS:
1. Mujhko Barsaat Bana Lo
2. Tu Junooniyat (Climax Song)
3. Ishqe Di Lat

That is all I have for this album. I hope you liked this review. If you do then feel free to share it. Let me know you favourite song of the album or if you have any suggestions/feedback - in the comments below. Until then, Ciao...!
